Duplicate content is always a topic many webmasters concerned, we [the post from Google Webmaster Center Blog] think this is the appropriate time to explain a few of the questions of the webmasters that my face on the conference and Webmaster Help Group. Before going to the main issue, I want to say a last worry about them by the webmaster: most webmasters do not want a 3rd party (third-party) get the content on their site and sign up to a site other without the consent of their (scrap). We recognize that this is not necessarily as an webmaster site has "borrowed" your content, the same content appear on a different site is considered not violate Google's webmaster guidelines. Therefore we always perform the identified source of content that, in most cases the origin is determined accurately, no confusion between what was the original copy is beginning again.
In general, we share issue duplicate content into 2 cases:
1. Copy the content in your site: the same message appear in different places on your site (usually not intentionally)
. 2. Copying content from other sites: articles on your site to appear on other sites (which is not intentionally)
In the first case, you can handle to avoid the Google index duplicate content on your site. Please refer to articles dealing with Deftly Duplicate content by Adam Lasnik and Duplicate content summit at SMX Advanced by Vanessa Fox, both have some tips or help you solve problems duplicate content on your site. I would add a small tips to help your site avoid Google crawl on duplicate content: give the URL of the original content sitemap. When you see a different page with the same content, you'll recognize immediately, since it decided to keep the time, removed the time. You can find more information on additional Help Center article.
In the second case, someone get the content you post to a site other, often to make benefit from the content. Examples: many sites use a proxy in the space on your site to display a different site. When having a content appearing on sites like this, we rely on many different signs to determine what was the original. Therefore, you should not be too worried that their site will not be displayed on search results of Google when a site other scrap your content.
There are also cases where you are ready to share their content (Syndicate) but also want to make sure your site is identified as the original, ask partners Syndicate content you attach a link to the content of your original. You can find some guidance on Syndicate content in the article Ranking as the original source for content you syndicate.cua Vanessa Fox.
